Arthritis Aquatic Exercise | Let's Twist Again | Twinges in the Hinges?
NEWS RELEASE
ARTHRITIS AQUATIC EXERCISE
PROGRAM BEGINS AT ISLAND SPORTS PHYSICAL THERAPY
The
Arthritis Aquatics Exercise Program is now being offered at two Island
Sports Physical Therapy locations. Island Sports Physical Therapy @
Smithtown, "LET’S TWIST AGAIN", and Island Sports Physical Therapy @ East
Northport, "TWINGES IN THE HINGES?", are pleased to announce their
offering of these exercise classes in their pools.
Help ease the
pain and stiffness of arthritis by exercising in a warm water pool. Who
else should attend? Anyone wishing to get into shape gently and safely.
The Arthritis Aquatics Program has been specially designed by the
Arthritis Foundation.
Many physicians recommend water exercise for
people with arthritis. Arthritis Aquatics is excellent for maintaining
joint range of motion, enabling people to be able to continue with their
daily activities with less pain or restriction of movement. The buoyancy
of the water reduces the stress on joints while its resistance helps build
muscles.
To register for the Arthritis Aquatics Exercise Program,
or for further information, contact Island Sports Physical Therapy.
For information on other Arthritis Foundation programs,
including the Arthritis Helpline and support groups, call the Foundation
at (516) 427-8272 or check their web
site.
The Arthritis Foundation is a voluntary,
non-profit agency whose mission is to raise funds to find the cure for
arthritis and provide quality of life programs in the community.

The Aquatic Arthritis Exercise Program is co-sponsored by the
Arthritis foundation. Our Instructors are certified by the Arthritis
Foundation. |
